Abstract The historical detection of gravitational waves emitted from the collision two neutron stars (GW170817) has opened new era multi-messenger astronomy. Since then, many other significant discoveries—both on heaven and earth—are providing clues into behavior neutron-rich matter. It is goal this article to illustrate how remarkable progress made during last few years spearheading field golden age neutron-star physics [?].

The neutron matter equation of state from low-momentum interactions

We calculate the neutron matter equation of state at finite temperature based on lowmomentum nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon interactions. Our results are compared to the modelindependent virial equation of state and to variational calculations. We provide a simple estimate for the theoretical error, important for extrapolations to astrophysical conditions.
